Yes. The board arrives with every cable cut to length, every fuse rated and fitted, and every component already mounted. On install day all you do is:

• Slide the board into position and fix it down
• Connect your LiFePO4 batteries to the labelled terminals
• Plug your 12V and 230V appliance circuits into the labelled outputs
• Power on and verify with the built-in Victron monitoring

Most builders finish this in around two hours. Appliance cabling (lights, fridge, sockets, water pump) is on top of that and depends on your van size and circuit count.

A typical Vunked pre wired board carries a Victron MultiPlus inverter/charger, a Victron SmartSolar MPPT controller, a Victron Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC charger, a Victron Lynx busbar, a SmartShunt for battery monitoring, correctly-rated class-T and ANL fuses, and pre-terminated cables sized to each component’s load. Fogstar Drift LiFePO4 batteries connect to dedicated, labelled battery terminals on the board.

Our standard board outlines fit under a typical bench seat or in the garage area of common UK conversion vans — Sprinter, Crafter, Boxer/Ducato/Relay, Transit. Before you order we confirm the available footprint, battery position and cable routes for your specific build so the board is sized to your van rather than the other way around.

For the 12V DC side, most competent DIY builders install the board themselves — every connection is labelled and pre-sized. For the 230V AC side, current UK practice (BS 7671) is that any fixed 230V installation should be inspected and certified by a qualified electrician before energising. Many of our customers do the DC install themselves and bring in a local electrician for a short visit to certify the AC side.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on unused pre wired boards in original condition. Once the board has been wired into a van or modified, it falls outside the standard return window — at that point we switch into support mode rather than returns mode and work with you to resolve any issue.

Pre Wired Electrics are a campervan electrical system assembled, wired and fused on a single mounting board before delivery. Every component — inverter/charger, MPPT solar controller, DC-DC charger, busbar, fuses, monitoring — is mounted in its final position with the correct cable sizes already in place. The board arrives ready to install, so the only on-site work is mounting it in your van, connecting your batteries, and connecting your 12V and 230V appliance circuits to the labelled outputs.

A campervan electrics kit is a parcel of correctly specified parts — battery, inverter, MPPT, DC-DC, cables, fuses, busbar — that you wire together yourself using the supplied diagram. Pre Wired Electrics is the same parts list, but already mounted on a board and wired together at the Vunked workshop. The kit gives you flexibility on component layout and a lower price; the pre-wired board gives you a much faster install and removes the most error-prone parts of the build (cable sizing, fuse placement, busbar wiring).

If your layout is unusual, we can adjust the board outline rather than force a standard size into a space that does not suit it.

A pre-wired board costs more than the same parts bought as a kit because it includes the workshop labour to mount, cable, fuse and test the assembly. The economics work in favour of pre-wired when you value your install time, are nervous about getting cable and fuse sizing right, or are paying a converter or electrician by the day to do the work for you. For a self-built van where you are happy spending several days on careful DC wiring, the parts-only kit remains the cheaper route.

Victron components on the board carry a 5-year manufacturer warranty. Fogstar Drift LiFePO4 batteries carry their own multi-year warranty against manufacturing defects, with a cycle life that typically exceeds 2,000–3,000 cycles. The board assembly itself — workshop labour, cable terminations, fusing, layout — is covered under our Adventure-Ready Guarantee, which means if anything is wrong with how the board is built we put it right. Warranty cover assumes the board is installed in line with the supplied documentation; modifying the board wiring after delivery voids the assembly warranty.

Yes. The configurator lets you choose inverter size, solar capacity, DC-DC rating, battery capacity, and whether you want a Combi busbar or a Lynx busbar for future expandability. Once you have a configuration you are happy with, we build the pre-wired board to match. We do not custom-design at the level of swapping in third-party components — the board is engineered around the Victron + Fogstar parts list because that is what we have tested at scale and what we can stand behind under the Adventure-Ready Guarantee.

The 230V side of a Vunked pre-wired board is fed from a Victron MultiPlus inverter/charger and routed through an RCD-protected consumer unit so any 230V appliance — induction hob, kettle, hairdryer, hard-wired diesel heater controller — has the same level of protection as a fixed installation at home. Shore-power input is handled through a CEE inlet and a transfer switch built into the MultiPlus, so the system automatically prioritises shore power when plugged in and falls back to battery/inverter when off-grid. We supply the consumer unit pre-populated with the correct RCD and MCB ratings for the inverter on your board.
